Nonlinear Calendar · This year’s months fold onto twelve years
A linear calendar stretches a year into a line
- Brand: Balance Engine · product: Nonlinear Calendar
- This year’s 12 flow-months = the previous 12 years of the same pillars
- Same table for everyone · dayun only says which chapter those years were in your life
- Preview ≠ prediction · correspondence ≠ prophecy
The civil year walks from January to December like a ruler. Solar terms cut the year into twelve flow-months — still a chain that only goes forward.
Nonlinear Calendar does something else: it folds this year’s twelve flow-month pillars onto the previous twelve years of the same sequence. Jiawu month maps to Jiawu year; Bingshen month maps to Bingshen year. Same pillars, different years. The brand stays Balance Engine; this table is the product.
The same table for everyone
- Gengyin month (2026-02-04) ↔ 2010 Gengyin year
- Jiawu month (2026-06-05) ↔ 2014 Jiawu year
- Bingshen month (2026-08-07 → 2026-09-07) ↔ 2016 Bingshen year ← now
- Dingyou month (2026-09-07) ↔ 2017 Dingyou year
- Xinchou month (2027-01-05) ↔ 2021 Xinchou year
The fold is a public L1 layer: no birth date, no dayun, no biography. Same day, same timezone, same table.
Bingwu year’s sequence runs Gengyin → Xinchou. Folded back, that is 2010 Gengyin through 2021 Xinchou. 18 August 2026 sits in Bingshen month; the fold year is 2016 Bingshen.
Get the year first, then tell your own story
The table only says which year this month folds onto. What happened in that year is yours to recall.
Use it this way: take the fold year, then ask yourself what you lived through then. Rehearse the coming months with your own memory. Do not let a model invent a biography, and do not pin someone else’s story on this table.
This is preview, not prediction. The past is not a verdict on the future.
How other people use it (examples)
- Example 1 · one person asks an AI. Install MCP, open a new chat, ask: “which year does this month fold onto?” The agent should call
time_foldand answer: Bingwu / Bingshen month ↔ 2016 Bingshen. Next it should ask you what you were doing in 2016 — not invent it. You answer: a city change, a first version, a long pause. Use that sentence to rehearse this Bingshen month: polish one hard thing, or close the loop. What happened in 2016 will not automatically replay. - Example 2 · look at the coming months yourself. The table already has Dingyou ↔ 2017, Wuxu ↔ 2018, Jihai ↔ 2019. You do not need all twelve years at once. Recall 2017 before you decide whether September (Dingyou) is for a hard push; leave 2018 for October. One mouth, one story — do not share biographies.
- Example 3 · a team on the same table. Start the meeting by aligning the year: this month is 2016 for everyone. Then each person tells their own 2016. Do not paste one person’s story onto the group. The public table only names the year. “Should the team push this week?” still goes to
energy_adjust(seat=org) — not a performance scorecard from the fold table.
These three are usage examples, not anyone’s real biography, and not a promise you will walk the same road. The table is public; the story has to be yours.
When a birth date is actually needed
- Free: the same correspondence table · tool
time_fold - Your story: memory of the fold year, used to rehearse later months
- Paid: birth date → dayun → which chapter those years were in
Dayun is personal. The same 2010–2021 span sat in different chapters for different people. The public table cannot say which.
Ask for a birth date only when someone wants “which of these years sat in my previous luck cycle.” That is the personal timetable, billed to a yearly account. The free layer does not invent dayun.
Wire it into an AI, or return to the calendar
After installing MCP, ask: “which year does this month fold onto?” The agent should call time_fold, not guess. The client name is Nonlinear Calendar.
Setup: MCP guide. Web calendar: calendar.html. Product guide: What Balance Engine is. Public booklet from this Shen month through next year’s Shen month: Bingshen → Wushen · 13 flow-months (a flippable magazine file they keep on phone, computer, or iPad; same book for everyone).
To see which luck cycle those years sat in
The public table is the same for everyone. Dayun needs a birth date — that is the personal timetable, not a prophecy written from the past.
